Families with last name beginning with letter A-J
bring a side dish to share (salads, fruit, veggie tray, beans, chips and dip, etc)

Families with last name beginning with letter K-Z
bring something sweet to share

Plates, silverware, grilled hotdogs, condiments, water provided. Please bring your own lawn chairs and invite another family or guest to join us. In order to plan appropriately, RSVP is required. Please click the button on the right to register for the picnic.

We will gather at 4:30 at the Picnic Shelter at Laurel Oak Park by John Harris Elementary with a prayer and dinner at 5:00 with tons of fun games to follow.

Sr. High Pickerel Lake Lutheran Bible Camp - 2018

June 24th - June 29th, 2018

Sr. High Pickerel Lake Lutheran Bible Camp is a summer camp for youth who have finished grades 8-12. It is a week to build your relationship with Christ, unite with friends from camp, and make new friends. This is an excellent outreach opportunity, so we encourage Abiding Savior students to invite a friend or two to come with!

  • Team Discussion and Competitions
  • Solitude Time (Personal Devotions)

Afternoon:

  • Quite Time (in dorm rooms)
  • Large Group Games
  • Free time (volleyball, 9 square, basketball, frisbee, board games, etc...)
  • Time at the lake (we walk to the Pickerel Lake State Park beach)
  • Canteen (bring extra money)

Evening:

  • Evening Service (Singing, scripture reading, offering, and sermon)
  • Canteen
  • Campfire (campfire songs, prayer requests, and testimonies of God's Work)
  • Dorm Prayer Time/Devotions

VBS 2018

July 8th - July 12th, 2018

Register below for our FREE Vacation Bible School at Abiding Savior Free Lutheran Church. " Game On! Gearing Up For Life's Big Game."

MEDICAL RELEASE:
I, the undersigned parent/guardian, do hereby grant permission for my son/daughter, named below, to attend the 2018 “Game On” Vacation Bible School. In order that my child may receive the proper medical treatment in the event that he/she may sustain injury or illness doing activities during VBS on Sunday, July 8 - Thursday July 12, 2018, I hereby authorize the VBS staff to obtain or provide medical treatment for my child for such injury or illness; and I hereby hold the staff and the sponsoring organization, as well as its representatives, harmless in the exercise of this authority.

I further understand that there is always a possibility that my child may sustain physical illness or injury while at Vacation Bible School. If this occurs, I hereby authorize the VBS staff and representatives to refer my child to a medical treatment center (hospital, etc.). I further acknowledge and understand that I will be responsible for any medical bills that may be incurred on behalf of my son/daughter for physical illness or injury that he/she may sustain during VBS at Abiding Savior Free Lutheran Church.

Understanding that there is always a possibility that my child may sustain physical illness or injury, I acknowledge and understand that my child is assuming the risk of such physical illness or injury by his/her participation, and I further release the sponsoring organization and its representatives from any claims for personal illness or injury that my child may sustain during Vacation Bible School. I further acknowledge and understand that my child will be responsible for his/her failure to abide by the rules and regulations of the VBS activities.

FLY Beyond 2018

July 16th - July 20th, 2018

FLY Beyond is a week to focus on training your head, your heart, and your hands to live out your vocations in the world you live in. Come to be equipping and trained to study God's Word and stand firm in the Faith amidst a culture hostile toward Christianity. The planning team has done an excellent job balancing formal instruction with Small Group activities, recreation, and free-time. Come to invest in your future, wherever that future might be.

Morning:

  • Bible Class with AFLC Pastor or Bible School Professor
  • Two Training Sessions that focus on Apologetics and Biblical Worldview
  • Team Discussion after each Training Session

Afternoon:

  • Team Challenges
  • Recreation and Free Time (volleyball, frisbee, basketball, dodgeball, board games, swimming, waterslide, playing music, etc...)

Evening:

  • Ministry Training (topics related to personal growth and congregational life as a believer)
  • Evening Service (worship and sermon)
  • Team Discussion
  • Canteen
